Augusta Massey selected as Empowered Woman of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)

Augusta Massey, Esq., Judge Pro Temp, Attorney, Speaker, Legal Coach and Published Author was recently selected for the Empowered Woman of the Year Award for 2020 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Her exemplary role as a female business professional in a male dominated industry displays her counsel, success and devotion to the legal profession. 

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few women are chosen for this distinction based on their years of experience, professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities and contributions to their communities. With innovation and compassion, these women empower others to gain knowledge and achieve success by cultivating change for future generations.  She will receive her award on stage at the Plaza Hotel in December.

Augusta is being recognized for having over a decade of professional experience in the legal field. Ms. Massey’s impressive prior roles have included, clerking for the Office of General Counsel at the Tennessee Board of Regents and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, respectively, serving as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Judge George W. Emerson, for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Western Tennessee, acting as Senior Associate for Anthony A. Zmaila Limited PLLC., working as In-House Counsel for May Sept Healthcare Services, and teaching as a Professor in Legal Environment/ International Business Law for the College of Southern Nevada and Business Law/Business Ethics for the University of Fort Lauderdale. As Managing Attorney of Massey & Associates Law Firm, PLLC, her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: Business Law, Bankruptcy, Business Formation, Foreclosure Mediation, Litigation, and Contracts.In addition to being a small business owner who is fluent in both Spanish and English, Augusta was appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court as a foreclosure mediator.

Throughout her illustrious career, Augusta has received numerous awards, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding litigation skills and capability within the law profession. She was honored as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Las Vegas (3 consecutive years), a Top 40 Under 40 by Vegas, Inc. and recognized as 1 of 15 Women in Business and Politics by the Urban Chamber of Commerce in 2019. Augusta was honored as Top Attorney of the Year for 2019 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). For 2020, she is being considered for a feature in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine and to be broadcast on the Reuters Building in Times Square, New York City.
