Local Real Estate Firm Emerald Creek Capital Offers $10,000 Scholarship to NYC Students

NEW YORK, NY, May 22, 2020 -- Emerald Creek Capital, a commercial mortgage company based in New York City, is known for going above and beyond financing real estate transactions. For years, Emerald Creek has offered support to exceptional local students in the form of a $10,000 college scholarship. 

The Emerald Creek Scholarship Foundation was founded in 2014 in an effort to recognize outstanding high school seniors and provide financial assistance towards their continuing education. Aside from the financial need of the applicants, the scholarship committee considers their academic achievements and demonstration of leadership. 

Last year's recipient, Kristina Qoku, was a senior at Staten Island Technical High School when she applied for the Emerald Creek scholarship. Beyond her academic achievements, Kristina participated in a myriad of extracurricular activities and service to her community. It was clear to Emerald Creek that she was not only altruistic in nature but was proactive and would go to great lengths to help others. Last September, she began her enrollment in a 7-year accelerated BS/MD program at the highly acclaimed Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CCNY.

Applications for this year's award will be accepted through June 15th. Eligible students will be graduating high school seniors in New York City who are members of the National Honor Society or similar organizations.
