COLUMBUS, OHIO - 03/09/2018 (PRESS RELEASE JET)
After successfully reaching his goal for his Kickstarter for the new book, “The Colored Boys of Uncle Sam,” (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1987717207/the-colored-boys-of-uncle-sam-in-world-war-i-wwi) author, Tony Reynolds, anounced a documentary film is possible.
The book details the sacrifice, valor and extreme loyalty of African-American World War I veterans. Reynolds, a Persian Gulf War veteran, successfully crowdfunded the book, which features pictures, stories and theories that have never been published, according to Reynolds. For instance, Captain America may have been based on an African-American soldier.
He previously co-wrote “Buster’s Backyard Bar-B-Q, Knockout Diabetes Diet,” which was featured on Fox News, Oprah.Com, ESPN, ABC News, and other media.
The book spent several days as the #1 spot on KickTraq’s Hotlist for Non-Fiction books.
“With the intense interest, I feel like a script is the next logical way of telling their story,” Reynolds said. “I’m obviously going to focus on the book first, but getting a documentary together is on the horizon.”
