BOSTON, MA - 03/30/2018 (PRESS RELEASE JET)

The Swett Wealth Management of UBS joined forces for a second year with American Corporate Partners (ACP) as part of a nationwide career mentoring program for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

ACP, a New York-based nonprofit organization, provides a unique career development opportunity for veterans. The program is open to those who have served on active duty since 2001, including National Guardsmen and Reservists. ACP gives priority to those with service-connected disabilities and welcomes applications from spouses of severely wounded service members or those killed in action.

Jeffrey Swett, who is entering into his second mentorship, believes that the lasting success of our community depends on our dedication to good, responsible citizenship. By offering our time, talents and resources through volunteer initiatives and activities, we continue to enrich the communities in which we live.

'The UBS Boston Office has had a long standing commitment and dedication to Veterans.' says James Ducey, Managing Director and Market Head of the Boston office. 'Across the country, UBS employees have supported more than 600 veterans since 2013. Locally, beyond supporting mentorships, our Boston offices have also raised over $10 thousand dollars for the New England Center for Homeless Veterans.'

American Corporate Partners was founded with the following objectives:

• Assist service men and women in their transition from the armed services to private enterprise.

• Provide veterans with opportunities to leverage their military skills and experiences in civilian careers.

• Provide veterans, Guardsmen, and Reservists the opportunity to evaluate and enhance their current civilian career path.

• Develop and strengthen a network of veterans and corporate leaders in the private sector

"After many years spent in the field of investment banking, I founded ACP not because I believed our returning service members required charity, but out of a sense of appreciation for the sacrifices these men and women have made for our country." said Sidney Goodfriend, Founder and Chairman of ACP. "They have placed their country before themselves, and now it is our turn to contribute to their well-being and the building of their careers."
