FAMILY OF PROMINENT ORANGE COUNTY PLASTIC SURGEON HONORED AT 20TH ANNIVERSARY FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESS AWARDS

The family of board-certified plastic surgeon and humanitarian Michael Niccole, M.D., founder and medical director of CosmetiCare Plastic Surgery Center and MedSpa and founder of the nonprofit Magic Mirror Foundation, both in Newport Beach, has earned the 20th Annual Family-Owned Business Award presented by the Orange County Business Journal.  The family was recently recognized at a formal luncheon held at the Hotel Irvine.

“I’m delighted and truly humbled by this prestigious award,” said Dr. Niccole.  “I have been lucky enough to love what I do, and to have my family take active roles in bringing the practice and our nonprofit to the next level, well, it brings me great satisfaction.”

In addition to Dr. Niccole, his son, Devon, is the CEO of the practice, his daughter, Charm, is a digital content contributor, and wife, Penny, sits on the board of directors of the Magic Mirror Foundation, a nonprofit started by Dr. Niccole that offers no-cost plastic surgery services to those in need.

A longtime Orange Countian, Dr. Niccole has earned international attention for his keen surgical skills and humanitarian efforts to help those in need.  He has been interviewed by “60 Minutes,” Barbara Walters, Anderson Cooper, and many other notable journalists in his nearly 4-decade career.  He has been selected by the Consumers’ Research Council of America as one of the Top Plastic Surgeons In America and included in the “Guide to America’s Top Plastic Surgeons.”  

His son, Devon, has run CosmetiCare since 2008 and is responsible for expanding the practice by adding more clinicians, introducing a popular medical spa, expanding the waterfront facility, and running the day-to-day operations.  Charm is instrumental in promoting the practice online and Penny oversees the Magic Mirror Foundation’s caseload whose patients include domestic abuse survivors, accident victims, children from developing nations living with abnormalities, those who have been bullied, breast cancer survivors whose insurance won’t cover the cost of reconstruction and a host of others.
