Google’s Wing Headlines List of Sponsors for New York City Drone Film Festival

Wing, the Alphabet Inc. company that offers autonomous drone delivery, headlines the list of sponsors of the sixth annual New York City Drone Film Festival.

Joining Wing as key sponsors of the festival are the Drone Racing League, drone manufacturer Skydio, online retailer Get FPV, Lume Cube and more.

This year’s NYCDFF is an all-digital event. The top drone films in the world will be shown on Oct. 24, with a drone expo and 30 hours of master classes available Oct. 25. Class topics range from video editing to color correction to storytelling and more. The full catalog of classes will be accessible online to all attendees for six months.

Nominees were also announced for the film festival. A total of nine film categories and a photography category comprise this year’s NYCDFF. The categories are: Landscape, Cityscapes, X-Factor, Showreel, Cinematic FPV, Extreme Sports, Narrative/Documentary, Dronie, Lockdown, and Still Photography. 

The nominees include Beautiful Destinations, Red Bull Motorsports, Johnny Schaer, Tanya Shkondina, Face du Monde and more. All 2020 NYCDFF nominees can be found here.
