National Shunt Services Limited Releases Shuntware Software Upgrade

National Shunt Services Limited (NSSL) launched an updated version of their proprietary yard management and logistics software, Shuntware™. Originally developed in 2004, Shuntware was created by yard management experts with input from industry professionals and software developers. The most recent release is the third version, which features:

• Advanced data modeling and analysis

• Faster load and refresh times

• A larger user interface with easier-to-read digest

• Sortable information so you only see what you need

• More effective storage of archived data

• A more user-friendly and practical interface

• Easier and faster creation of customized, shareable, standardized reports

Additionally, the new version will allow NSSL to perform full maintenance updates internally and provide a new level of access providing the customer with full control to use the software as needed. 

“Our experience within the logistics field gave us insight into what sorts of metrics and visibility would be critical to an operations manager within a retail, manufacturing or wholesaler facility to provide the reports necessary to this business line,” says Darren Fitzgerald. “This most recent version of Shuntware provide an improved experience to our clients because we let their feedback guide our updates.”

Shuntware was internally created by NSSL from their knowledge of the supply chain process and yard management experience. It was developed to help improve efficiency by reducing trailer moves, congestion of warehouse doors and reduce misplaced trailers and inventory. Additionally, Shuntware increases productivity and security by providing high-level visibility of inventory in a yard.
